As of today, there is no military in the Mediterranean that could challenge Israel, with the support of the United States, from claiming any resources it wants. It seems Israel is taking full advantage of this situation.
"President Michel Sleiman warns against any unilateral decisions Israel may take on maritime borders which would be a breach of international law, as is Israel's habit," Sleiman's office said in a statement.This is not a natural or inevitable state of affairs. It is the result of the regional US/Zionist colonial structure that denies representative or accountable government to over 100 million Arabs for the sake of 5.7 million Jewish people in Palestine.
